Welcome!
Welcome to Promulgation.Rubicon (PR) - click here to check out why such a name - and the dialogue on Web 2.0 and how it's impacting public affairs, PR and communications in general.
Although I've more of an interest in now it is influencing and affecting government communications with the community, I will also try to explore other emergent aspects as they crop up. Much of the basis of this site will be academic research, but I will also feed it with real-world perspectives through interviews and anecdotes from actual practitioners and seasoned 2.0 evangelists.
So, how can this blog be of use to you? Firstly, let's cover the broad structure.
NAVIGATION TIPS
The CONTENT PAGE is where I list all the blog entries that have been made, so you can in one glance tell what the past issues are about, and when they were made. You'll always find the most recent entry at the top of the list under each sub-heading.
Next are the LEARNING JOURNEY and PR 2.0 sites. These are the main components of the blog, with LEARNING JOURNEY serving as the knowledge-management journal for me as I continue to shape and reshape this blog as a communication tool. In here you'll find entries that track changes as I make to this site, the rationale for the changes made, as well as some new Web 2.0 issues that I've come across that I think may be useful for our learning.
Then there is the PR 2.0 page, which is where I discuss Web 2.0 matters in relation to government and corporate communications, as well as public relations and public affairs. If you only have time to subscribe to one aspect of Promulgation.Rubicon (PR), I hope you'll subscribe to this site using the RSS feeder.
The remaining components, GLOSSARY and RESOURCE PAGE are more of research resources that I'm maintaining, such as interesting terms to get by the Web 2.0 community (one cannot assume to know it all, right?) and books and websites that may be of help as well. These are more for my use, but if it helps you, then it's great!!!
LAST BUT NOT LEAST
Feel free to contact me (use the contact form on the right, or ping me using the connections below) to let me know what you think about this site, or anything related to Web 2.0 and communication that you feel may be worth discussing and I'll give it a shot. Bottom line is that I'm new to this, and if you are as well, and want to learn it as well, then join me in this conversation and let's see where it goes!

The Latest Brew...
Just a Word of Disclaimer
This is a personal blog, so any opinion expressed on these pages are mine and not those of my employer. I've been told that as a student, I can pretty much get away with anything, but still I do try to be as smart and insightful as I can be with my postings (or at least sound the part). If there's something you find to be useful, that's awesome! Tell me about your experience. Feel free to leave your comments. Disagree with me. Call me insane even, if you like. That's what open dialogues are about, although I reserve the right not to respond if involves abusive or profane comments. Finally, if I do write something stupid (God forbid!), well... my bad! I'll learn from it, so go easy ok? I'm still learning you see. :-)
